In the beginning of the year fashion brands released advertising campaign videos for their upcoming spring/summer seasons. Fashion is my favorite thing in the entire world and I could watch videos like these ALL day. These advertising videos are very diverse and complex, which is what makes them so successful and attention grabbing! These four are my top favorite campaign videos of the season.

1. Prada Womenswear Spring/Summer 2020

This campaign was titled, “Plain Redefined As Daring Attitude” which is exactly what the video captured. The music in the background is a thriller mystery soundtrack which makes the whole video seem provoking to what will happen next. Each girl in the video is modeling the clothing and doing something with a mysterious and serious look to her face. This is the perfect combination of fashion and art.

2. Fendi Men's Spring/Summer 2020

This campaign video was focused on the menswear of the spring/summer season. The video takes place in a maze surrounded by a garden. The men are walking around the garden with their outfits and handbags. The soundtrack in the background is a mixture of indie/piano music which makes the whole video seem uplifting and energetic. Everyone likes watching videos with a lot of greenery so it's not surprising Fendi decided to do this for their audience.

3. Marella Spring/Summer 2020

This specific campaign video was called, “Rear Window”. The video consists of a girl in her apartment doing what girls always do in their apartments like dance and watch tv. The background noise sounds like a busy street which is because the camera is placed outside of her window. As she paces around her apartment, it appears as though the outfits are changing rapidly. This is an eye catching campaign video as us girls can relate to while also admiring different articles of clothing.

4. Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2020

This campaign video is one of my favorites. The video is based around a news channel broadcast. The models are news reporters, interviewees, and pedestrians. The models aren't actually speaking but more so an edited moving mouth on each model. The models almost look like aliens which correlates with the outer space music in the background. The uniqueness and complexity of the video makes sense to grab the attention of the viewer.

All of these campaign videos are unique in their own ways but there's one thing they precisely have in common; they will most definitely grab your attention.
