Welcome to my page! My name is Arely Rodriguez, pronounced Uh-rel-ee. I am a bilingual Mexican-American student from the Greater Chicago Area located in Joliet, IL. I am currently a sophomore at Aurora University studying to get my Bachelors in Marketing. I also currently work part-time at DSW as a sales associate where I love what I do! Something else about me is that I have a passion for fashion and I love to create.

Volunteering
Since the fall of 2015, I've been volunteering as a Leader/Teacher at my local church. We meet every Tuesday for an hour and half and work with the children ages 5-9. We go over readings with them and allow them to interact with each other. This has taught me how to effectively work in a team and how to communicate. It has also taught me consistency, considering I've done it five years in a row despite my transition to college. It's been everything I look forward to every Tuesday in the midst of my busy schedule.

Starting October 2017 to January 2019, I worked at Sears. In this job, I used effective customer service skills. Kept up to date with stores plan-o-grams. Required to clean, organize, and stock new inventory on sales floor. Required to keep up to date with pricing on sales floor. Cleaned fitting rooms and recovered at the end of the day. Learned how to organize sales floor effectively. Helped cashiers when busy.

After graduating from high school, I started my college career at Aurora University. I am currently a sophomore studying Marketing in the Business Program.

I started working at DSW on April 2019, till present day as a cashier. I am required to organize and stock new inventory on sales floor. Use effective customer service skills with shoe lovers. Assist in keeping track of new mark downs for pricing. Required to clean sales floor and keep up to date with stores plan-o-grams. Required to send out deliveries for online orders. Required to use effective fashion skills to assist customers.
